Install Closet Shelves to Maximize Space

Install closet shelves to maximize space and rid yourself of disorganized messes. When you first move into a home, you put everything where it should be and organize your closets, shelves and kitchen. Then, six months later the whole place is a disaster area with the worst spot in the house your closets. The tendency to open the door, throw something in, shut the door and forget about it is very common.
It is not as hard as you think
Many stores such as Wal-Mart and Fred Meyer sell pre-made closet kits that normally come with a wide range of shelve sizes and a hanging rack. All you need is a pencil, measuring tape, drill and the help of a friend. The instructions are very simple; all you do is measure your closet and make marks on the wall with a pencil. You then drill screws into the walls and place the shelves where you want them.
Other options
If you are renting or do not feel comfortable drilling holes in your closet there are plastic tubs that come with shelves or drawers that are easy to slide into your closet. Most of these are sold in hardware stores or in the hardware aisle of mass merchandisers. Put old bookcases inside a closet in order to create shelving or add a wire rack. If you are low on cash, even old shoe boxes come in handy.
When you house is organized, your life is organized. Put your mind at ease and install closet shelving to maximize your space.
